There is never any guarantee when it comes to the practice of law, but Malinda will advise as to your options based upon the law and facts, develop your case, prepare you well to testify at deposition and/or trial, and will work tirelessly toward achieving a result that meets your needs.
Malinda Mata is a skilled trial attorney whose practice includes both civil and commercial litigation and general business matters. Malinda has represented clients in a variety of cases ranging from complex multi-party lawsuits to individual claims involving construction defects, family law, contracts, real estate, collections, and equine law. She also provides corporate counsel to mid-size and small businesses with active participation in daily management, including contract negotiations and preparation, regulatory compliance, real estate transactions, advertising, and marketing legal review, construction, and project development, mergers and acquisitions, employee/labor policies, as well as equine-law issues. Malinda grew up in Georgia and received her Bachelor of Arts from Emory University. She moved to Texas in 1994, received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law, and has been in private practice since 2004. In addition to practicing law, Malinda is an avid dressage rider and horsewoman. She owns and manages Yeguada de Mali, her boutique breeding and training farm devoted to the Lusitano horse.
